Entropia Codex

Entry Level Hunting on Planet Calypso

Oftentimes on Calypso, low-level creatures are more spread out and mixed with other types than you will notice at higher levels or on other planets. Creatures also tend to be quite strong for a new player on Calypso. Take this as a good opportunity to explore and see what Entropia has to offer. This page is a work in progress and only the creatures listed with a location are guaranteed to progress codex. Locations will be added as I verify each one, but remember there are more than what I have listed, go explore!

Here is a list of “puny” and low-level creatures for Planet Calypso. Use this page if you are new, free to play, on a budget, and/or maximizing codex skill gains (more attribute contribution)

First, an explanation of how each planet is split into 3 sections – Links for each planet are at the bottom of the page. For each creature listed, I will try to provide a self-verified location. Please note that there may be better locations than what I provide on these pages and there are surely more locations available to hunt. You just have to explore!

To create a waypoint on your map using the coordinates on this page; copy the location (including the brackets), type /wp in your chat box, and then paste the location, then press enter. Example: /wp [Planet Name, Longitude, Latitude, Z-Axis, Label]

This first set of creatures are good to hunt with a Trade Terminal (TT) Pistol, Powerfist, or Shortblade, they are between 10 – 20 HP.

  • Cornundos (Puny 10 HP) – [Calypso, 60815, 86870, 125, Cornundos Puny Mixed] and [Calypso, 60622, 86931, 129, Cornundos Puny Mixed]
  • Exarosaur (Highland 10 HP) –
  • Fugabarba (Young 10 HP / Mature 20 HP) –
  • Gibnib (Young 10 HP / Mature 30 HP / Old 30 HP) – Gibnibs are always mixed with other creatures, spread all over Calypso, and they run when you shoot at them. Get close, and then use range. There is an outpost right about here: [Calypso, 65947, 81177, 477, Gibnib] that has a few Gibnib mixed with Exarosaur (Young 50 HP / Old 60 HP) – see 3rd category below. My favorite place to complete the token daily is Fort Troy, run circles around the walls until you complete.
  • Mermoth (Cub 10 HP) – [Calypso, 62446, 89446, 102, Mermoth Mixed Maturity]. If you are looking for a secluded spot on the beach to sweat or swunt, this is a nice one. Be aware of the Juvenile mixed in, they are too big for unamped TT weapon, see final section.
  • Sabakuma (Hatchling 10 HP / Young 20 HP) – Follow the road from [Calypso, 60910, 87184, 145, Sabakuma Hatchling] to [Calypso, 61159, 87224, 160, Sabakuma Hatchling]
  • Tripudion (Puny 10 HP) – [Calypso, 63332, 74218, 102, Tripudion Puny] and [Calypso, 63081, 74163, 103, Tripudion Puny]
  • Berycled (Puny 13 HP / Juvenile 20 HP) – [Calypso, 63511, 74527, 150, Berycled Puny / Juvenile]. Berycled Nest: [Calypso, 63655, 74594, 145, Berycled Nest] (Ber’zilla 500 HP)
  • Argonaut (Outrunner 20 HP) – [Calypso, 62229, 87292, 282, Argonaut Outrunner / Grunt] I would not engage Grunts with an unamped TT pistol, see next section.
  • Daikiba (Cub 20 HP / Juvenile 20 HP) – [Calypso, 63316, 74888, 141, Daikiba Cub / Juvenile] shared with Shinkiba Codex
  • Hiryuu (Fledgling 20 HP) – [Calypso, 61424, 87037, 219, Hiryuu Fledgling]
  • Maffoid (Outrunner 20 HP) – [Calypso, 60622, 86931, 129, Maffoid Outrunner Mixed]. You cannot collect sweat from these.
  • Snablesnot (Young 20 HP) –

In this next section, you will find a list of creatures that are suitable to hunt if you have purchased a Starter Pack from the Entropia Universe Webshop, or are using a TT Rifle or Long blade. These are good for your unamped Z12 Barbarella laser rifle, the TT Rifle is ok for 30 HP, and the TT Long Blade is ok for 40 HP. The following creatures are between 30 – 40 HP.

  • Argonaut (Grunt 30 HP / Island Leader 40 HP) – [Calypso, 62229, 87292, 282, Argonaut Outrunner / Grunt]
  • Fugabarba (Old 30 HP / Dominant 40 HP) –
  • Shinkiba (Young 30 HP) – shared with Daikiba Codex
  • Tripudion (Juvenile 30 HP) –
  • Igni (Young 40 HP) –
  • Maffoid (Grunt 40 HP) – [Calypso, 60729, 87194, 130, Single Grunt]
  • Plumatergus (Young 40 HP) – [Calypso, 80472, 91386, 528, Plumatergus Mixed] (a few more to the West) and [Calypso, 80224, 91038, 745, Waypoint] (sparse)
  • Pupugi (Young 40 HP) –
  • Sabakuma (Mature 40 HP) –
  • Snablesnot Male (Mature 30 HP?/ Old 40 HP) –
  • Snablesnot Female (Young 40 HP) –
  • Swampland Allophyl (Young 40 HP) – [Calypso, 62025, 75642, 109, Swampland Allophyl Young Mixed]

This final section is a list of creatures suitable to hunt if you have purchased a Starter Pack Gold or Platinum from the Entropia Universe Webshop, or if you are using the TT Long blade (ok for 50 HP). You will be using your Z12 Barbarella + ZX Sinkadus laser rifle and amp. These creatures are between 50 – 60 HP.

Pick up “Daily” missions from the Mission Terminal, some creatures in the final section may fall into Category 1. There is a bonus 20 tokens mission for Chirpy and a Merp survival bonus for 2 tokens.

  • Daikiba (Young 50 HP) –
  • Exarosaur (Young 50 HP / Mature 60 HP) –
  • Fugabarba (Alpha 50 HP) –
  • Igni (Mature 50 HP) –
  • Merp (Young 50 HP) – [Calypso, 66245, 76849, 105, Merp Young] On-site Storage, TT, Repair, and Revive Terminals. Less Dense, closer to TP : [Calypso, 64316, 77300, 114, Waypoint]
  • RipperSnapper (Young 50 HP) –
  • Snablesnot Female (Mature 50 HP) –
  • Mermoth (Juvenile 60 HP) – [Calypso, 62446, 89446, 102, Mermoth Mixed Maturity] Be aware of the Cubs mixed in, Z12 + ZX Sink is overkill on the Cubs
  • Plumatergus (Mature 60 HP) – [Calypso, 81105, 93109, 205, Plumatergus Mixed]
  • Pupugi (Mature 60 HP) –
  • Snablesnot Male (Provider 60 HP) –
  • Tantillion (Young 50 HP / Mature 60 HP) –
